Introduction
The 2013 Michelin Renault Clio Cup Series has appointed the newly designed Renault Clio Mk3 R019 roll cage from Safety Devices as the exclusive, mandatory specification for the Road Conversion category.
Details
The Road Conversion category, established by the British Automobile Racing Club, provides a cost‑effective route for owners of Clio RS 197 and 200 road cars to convert their vehicles into race‑ready vehicles using a prescribed kit of components. Strict technical regulations ensure fair competition across the grid. A key element of the kit is the Safety Devices R019 14‑point bolt‑in roll cage.
The opening two rounds of the series were held at Snetterton over the weekend of 11–12 May 2013, delivering exciting racing with three entrants in the Road Conversion class, all equipped with our R019 roll cage. Rounds three and four followed at Croft on 6–7 July 2013. Further cars are currently in preparation ahead of the remaining four rounds, scheduled to take place at Rockingham and Brands Hatch.
