Howard Davies spent the day touring the workshop, meeting long‑serving team members and exploring the specialist equipment used to create Safety Devices’ products. The visit included demonstrations of T45 steel fabrication, laser scanning, plasma cutting, coordinate measuring technology and precision welding.
Davies also spoke with veteran fabricator John Cook, who joined the company in 1976 and reflected on decades of engineering evolution, from early reverse‑engineering methods to today’s advanced CAD‑driven processes.
The episode captures both the technical expertise and the heritage that underpin Safety Devices’ reputation across motorsport and off‑road industries.
