Introduction
You might recognise this legendary Toyota Hilux, equipped with a Safety Devices roll cage. It now holds a place of honour, permanently displayed on a plinth against the back wall of BBC TV’s Top Gear studio, as a timeless museum piece. Toyota claims their Hilux Pick-Up is virtually indestructible, and the Top Gear team put theory to the test.

The Hilux faced a series of increasingly brutal tests—it was submerged in the sea, smashed with a caravan and a wrecking ball, set ablaze, and ultimately dropped from a tower block in Hackney. Yet the resilient Toyota refused to die and was later driven into the Top Gear studio.
The custom Safety Devices roll cage installed on the Hilux withstood every challenge it faced. Safety Devices… only the best survives.
