Off-Roading with Olympic Medallist

Introduction

Olympic medallist Crista Cullen embarks on a Kenyan off‑roading adventure equipped with a Safety Devices roll cage — as featured in Land Rover World magazine.

Details

Lincolnshire‑born and Kenyan‑raised until the age of 12, Team GB Olympic Hockey Bronze Medallist Crista Cullen now spends much of her time in Kenya, where 4x4s are essential for everyday travel. After the 2012 London Olympics, Crista was offered a three‑year sponsorship for a BMW convertible, but she chose to turn it down.

Instead, she approached several dealerships and ultimately partnered with Land Rovers UK, an independent dealer that supplied her with a Defender 110 through a part‑sponsorship, part‑ownership agreement. With support from Land Rover World magazine and key Land Rover accessory specialists—including Safety Devices, who provided her L011 roll cage—Crista’s Defender was fully equipped for serious off‑roading across Kenya.
